 David is an Illinois licensed home inspector, a member of ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) and has been working with the HIT Team since December of 2003. He has an extensive background in the construction industry with more than 15 years of experience. David started his career remodeling houses in high school and after graduating, worked as a non-union carpenter for nine years.
Before entering the home inspection industry David decided to become a union carpenter where he completed a four-year apprenticeship and continued on for several years working as a journeyman carpenter. David started his first three years of his apprenticeship in residential construction where he built custom homes from the ground up. David wanted to broaden his expertise and decided to work in commercial construction for a general contractor.
Shortly after this move, he was promoted to a foreman where he oversaw numerous trades including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, pipe fitters, glazers, and painter/tapers. David is very familiar with all aspects of both commercial and residential construction. Due to an injury, he was no longer able to work as a carpenter and chose to become a home inspector, where he attended the Inspection Training Institute in Glen Ellyn.
David is extremely knowledgeable in the construction industry and loves his job as a home inspector, where he performs over 700 inspections per year. His enthusiasm, close attention to detail, and dedication to the field makes him an extraordinary inspector. .
